The Danish city of Elsinore

For some journeys we must travel to vast places, past oceans and deserts, to satisfy our curiosity. For others, a short ferry ride will do. The Danish city of Elsinore, or Helsingör in Swedish, is an example of a close-by gem we Swedes tend to overlook all to often. With winding allies, a 16th century castle and all the smørrebrø you could eat, Elsinore is just as exciting as any of your continental favorites, and it can all be reached in within an hour from south of Sweden. We must remember to appreciate what is just around the corner.
